In Gaza, babies are being born into war. But many won’t survive their first days, not because they are too weak, but because the medical system is too broken to help them.

 

With hospitals in Gaza City and the north out of service, Al-Khair Hospital in the south now carries the burden of delivering and caring for thousands of newborns. Yet it has no functioning neonatal unit.

 

Premature and vulnerable babies are being treated in unfit without proper incubators, oxygen supply, or the sterile conditions they desperately need. The smallest lives are slipping away, simply because there is no facility to care for them.

 

What PIMA Will Do — With Your Support

 

We will rebuild and fully equip a lifesaving Neonatal Unit at Al-Khair Hospital with our partners on the ground.

10 neonatal incubator beds

2 isolation rooms

2 triage rooms for newborn emergencies

Complete medical gas and oxygen network

Essential neonatal medical furniture and IT systems

And More..

 

This will be the first proper neonatal unit in this area — a true lifeline for Gaza’s youngest, most fragile lives.
