Understanding PIMA's medical work in Gaza
People need emergency care, continuing treatment and medical teams equipped to help them. PIMA's work connects those needs through practical supplies, hospital support and investment in future healthcare staff.
The essentials used in hospital care
Medical gauze and consumables support wound care and surgical treatment. PIMA's Gauze appeal gives you a specific way to support these supplies for Gaza's hospitals.
Restoring facilities and sustaining care
Your donations helped restore Al-Shifa's A&E department. That restoration is complete. Watch the thank-you film and see what you helped make possible. The current appeal supports ongoing running costs, helping PIMA sustain care beyond this milestone.

Supporting people who need ongoing treatment
Some patients need continuing medicine and care for long-term conditions. PIMA's chronic-illness project explains this work and offers a route to its Chronic Disease Medical Fund.

Supporting future doctors and nurses
Medical education is another part of long-term healthcare. PIMA's Medical Students Fund supports its medical-student and nursing work. Read the project before choosing this route.

What this page can tell you
This is an overview of PIMA's work, reviewed 6 October 2026. It is not a live directory of functioning hospitals, opening hours or emergency services. Follow the linked project pages for the purpose of each appeal and PIMA's donation declaration.
“Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind.”Qur’an, Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32
“The believers, in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy, are like one body; when one limb suffers, the whole body responds to it with sleeplessness and fever.”The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ · Sahih al-Bukhari 6011 · Sahih Muslim 2586
If watching Gaza has kept you awake, that is not helplessness. It is the ummah being one body, exactly as the Prophet ﷺ described. And a body responds. Below is what the response looks like on the ground, and how your hands can join it.
The medical need
Medical needs behind the appeal
Hospitals and clinics
Damage and shortages put pressure on medical facilities. PIMA supports hospital services, local clinical teams and emergency care.
Continuing treatment
Patients living with chronic conditions depend on ongoing medicines and follow-up. Interruptions can leave essential care out of reach.
Medical supplies
Emergency treatment, surgery and wound care depend on medicines and essential supplies. PIMA’s appeal supports these practical needs.
PIMA’s medical response
So the next patient is not turned away
PIMA’s published updates describe hospital restoration, mobile clinics and medical supplies delivered through local teams. These examples show different parts of that medical response.
01 · An operating theatre, rebuilt
PIMA rebuilt the operating theatre at Haifa Hospital in Central Gaza. Surgery returned to a hospital that had lost it.
02 · Treatment for trauma and injuries
PIMA’s published work includes a Trauma and Minor Injuries Clinic inside Haifa Hospital, supporting patients who need injury and wound care.
03 · Clinics that travel to the patient
Mobile clinics, set up during the war, reach the vulnerable who cannot travel to a functioning hospital.
04 · Medicine, in a doctor’s hand
Antibiotics, pain relief and dressings, supplied to the teams doing the treating. What you give becomes what they hold.

One clear action
Help a medical team keep treating patients
Your gift reaches teams already treating patients inside a system under severe pressure. Give once, or monthly so they can plan ahead. And keep them in your du’a.
